Bind and Fly (BNF) Manual

General Information

Using this guide you can unlock your DJI FPV video system aka FCC hack.

Use this guide at your own responsibility.

You have to check with your local law regulations regarding transmission frequencies and transmission power.

In order to have a functional unlock you need to unlock both googles and the air unit. Doing the unlock on only one of these devices doesn't help.

Googles

Look for the correct version of your google and do the required steps listed below

DJI Google V1

Create a .txt file, name it naco_pwr Type pwr_2 inside the text file Save and close Copy naco_pwr.txt to a micro SD card (for your DJI FPV goggles) Power on Goggles and Air Unit, WAIT until you see image from camera Then put the SD card in DJI goggles Restart Goggles

DJI Google V2

Create a .txt file, name it naco_pwr Type pwr_2 inside the text file Save and close Copy naco_pwr.txt to a micro SD card (for your DJI FPV goggles) Power on Goggles and Air Unit, WAIT until you see image from camera Then put the SD card in DJI goggles Restart Goggles

Air Units

Look for the correct version of your video transmitter and do the required steps listed below

Air Unit V1

Create a .txt file, name it naco_pwr Type pwr_2 inside the text file Save and close Copy naco_pwr.txt to a micro SD card Then put the SD card in DJI Air Unit V1 Power on Air Unit

Vista

Create a .txt file, name it naco_pwr Type pwr_2 inside the text file Save and close Power on your Vista Connect the Vista via USB Cable to a computer Wait for the mass storage device to pop up Copy naco_pwr.txt to the Vista mass storage Power cycle the Vista

Air Unit O3

Create a empty file, name it ham_cfg_support, save and close Connect the O3 via USB Cable to a computer Wait for the mass storage device to pop up Copy ham_cfg_support to the O3 mass storage Power cycle the O3

Testing the hack

  1. Turn on your DJI Goggle
  2. Connect the battery to your BNF model. Only do this with props removed or a smokestopper.
  3. Wait until the green LED appears on the DJI VTX.
  4. Press the red button on your DJI Goggle twice. It should beep twice every second.
  5. Press the button on the DJI VTX. The goggle confirms the binding by beeping twice.
